Sometimes medications can stain teeth while they are being formed.  For example, someone taking tetracycline for acne as a teenager may experience dark grey or brown bands on their teeth as an adult. While these discolourations will not be improved with dental whitening, veneers offer a permanent solution to this problem.

"When teeth are severely stained, worn or misaligned, veneers can be used to correct a number of problems.  Veneers are a permanent solution to improve your smile when whitening alone just won't do."
